If you have found this site that means that you are interested in your child beginning their musical journey, either through our younger immersion classes designed to stimulate musical learning or our keyboard classes – and the best way for a child to learn is to have fun while learning.

That’s what Music for Young Children is about – having fun while learning how to play a new instrument.  We teach in a variety of children’s learning styles and they learn to play through a multi-sensory approach.  We sing, we move, we play games, we learn about critters that they never knew existed before (like Grumpy Groundhog & Edyth the Elegant Elk), we compose, we play rhythm instruments, we play the keyboard, we assign homework that may involve cutting or coloring . . . and through all of this we have fun!  A child will learn much faster when they are having fun.

Our studio also offers hybrid classes, which means that if a family is feeling under the weather or away, students can still join class online rather than missing out. Our classroom is equipped with video cameras, a microphone and technology that connects the teacher’s keyboard directly for clearer sound and easier listening at home. This setup helps students stay engaged and continue learning wherever they are and it has been a great addition to our studio.

Our studio is now offering THE MUSIC CLASSⓇ in our studio and MUSIC TIMEⓇ Daycare/Dayhome weekly classes at your location!

THE MUSIC CLASSⓇ is aimed at children from infant up to to age 4.  Young children learn by watching, listening, decoding what happens around them and then experimenting on their own through play. Studies have shown that the brain is receptive to all sounds during the first 6 months of life. The best time to learn a new language is between birth and 9 years of age.

The Music Class® was started by Rob Sayer to provide little ones with an environment to learn and experience many different styles of music. Children learn to sing in tune and keep a steady beat, parents and caregivers learn how to incorporate music into everyday life, and everyone gets to have fun and move to the music! The class is specifically design for babies, children up to age 4, and their siblings.  For more information click here.
