Music Lessons and the Long Term Effects on the Brain

@unknown

There have been numerous articles and studies done on how music education can help children, but did you know that it can help your children when they become grandparents? An article from the National Geographic talks about just that – how music lessons provide benefits for the long run, “in the form of an added defense against memory loss, cognitive decline and diminished ability to distinguish consonants and spoken words.”

Check out this article and maybe you should thank your parents for allowing you to take music lessons too – and if you didn’t – it’s not too late to gain the benefits from it!  Also with Music for Young Children you are able to learn along with your child.  So if you didn’t have lessons when you were younger you are able to start now!
