I can’t believe that summer is coming to an end and everything will be starting up again – school AND lessons!
I still have a few spots available in some of my classes, so if you’re thinking of registering send me an email and we can connect and get the ball rolling.
For my returning students, if you have some time in these last couple weeks before lessons begin I would suggest heading to the piano and playing some of the songs that you enjoyed this past year. Find your favorite and see if you can still play it just as well as you did in this past year. Or, find a new song and see whether or not you can learn it. It’s always nice to start of the year where we ended off last year, but if the piano has been getting dusty then it might be a bit more challenging – so dust it off and have some fun. Maybe even challenge one of your parents to learning a new song too and see if you can play them for your family before lessons begin?!
This year I will be teaching full nights on Tuesdays,
Wednesdays and Thursdays but I will be having a new teacher teaching in my studio on Mondays – Emma Bailey – my oldest daughter. A lot of you already know her as she’s been in a few classes as a ‘parent’ and has also babysat some of your children while you’ve been with your other child in the studio. She is looking forward to starting this new chapter of her life, as a MYC teacher, and I am glad that this means I can open up another class as I don’t have the time available to teach more than I already am. So on Mondays Emma will be teaching Sunshine 1.
Have fun with the last few week of summer and I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the first class. Classes will be starting the first week after Labour Day Wknd, except for the Monday class which will begin the Monday AFTER the holiday weekend: The exact start dates are:
– Mondays – September 12
– Tuesdays – September 6
– Wednesdays – September 7
– Thursdays – September 8
See you all in September!!!
