On Sunday, May 6, 2018 we had 2 great Music for Young Children recitals. All our students, from first year to graduating, played their songs with confidence and we couldn’t be more proud of them. We had the privilege to listen to so many songs, a few included: Dance of the Gnomes, The Cowboy Song, Brave Knight, Yesterday, Phantom of the Opera, A Whole New World, The Hockey Song, After the Rain, Cry of the Lone Wolf, Shortnin’ Bread, Song of Joy, The Wind and so very many more.
After each class played their individual pieces students would then play a rhythm ensemble, where the class would be divided in two, with each the group playing their unique rhythm line – all at the same time. And they did great! Parent pointers were a huge help too – thanks to those lucky moms and dads who helped out.

At the end of both recitals we were able to hang out and eat some great food and celebrate the students’ success. Thank you to every family that brought something to share – it was appreciated (as you could tell by the excitement of the kids’ faces when we said it was food time!) and very very yummy!

A HUGE THANK YOU to all the parents for all the encouraging that you do behind the scenes. We know that a major part of their success is you making sure that they are practicing properly and sometimes that isn’t always easy. But, as they start to learn their piece and become more confident, we can sit back and listen – enjoying how proud they are of their accomplishment and hearing how all their hard work paid off in a beautiful song.
It’s been another great year teaching and we’re looking forward to what next year will bring! Can’t wait to see you all back then!
