During the Christmas holiday season there are many times that we are looking for that one specific song for either us or our children to play and we can’t seem to find it anywhere.  I thought that I would give everyone a few places to start their search, and for free!  Many of these sites have more than one arrangement of a song so that you can find the one that suits you or your child’s ability.

Just as a little side note, when choosing holiday music it’s nice to choose something just a bit lower than you or your child’s level as it makes for a quick and easy song to learn.  If you are wanting to spend more time learning it, then of course, choose the level that you are looking for.

So here we go, just a sample of what’s out there online for us to play, and all for FREE!

1. Making Music Fun – The majority of this site’s Christmas music is free, but there are some paid pieces.  They are in 5 levels and you can see and hear the music before you print it.
2. Christmas Music Songs – This site isn’t as easy to maneuver as some, but you will find various versions of numerous songs – from a one hand melody to more advanced versions.
3. Music for Music Teachers – On this site you can see each song and the difficulty, having songs for beginners to more advanced players.
4. Take A Piano Sheet Music Break – This site doesn’t have as many songs, and they aren’t shown in levels, so it isn’t as easy to find, but it does have a few songs that other sites may not.
5. Capotasto Music – What makes this site unique is that it doesn’t just let you hear the songs, but you can watch a video of it being played, which sometimes will give you a better understanding of the difficulty of the piece.
6. G Major Music Theory – This site has the songs divided into levels, which is nice to find what you’re looking for fast.  You can hear the mp3 of each song, but in order to see the music you will need to download it.

There are many other sites online with free printable Christmas music, but I thought I’d get you started with just a few and then if you can’t find what you’re looking for you can just do a quick online search and hopefully you’ll find it.

There is also another site that I really enjoy purchasing music from, Piano Pronto.  Although these are paid pieces, you can find some really fun arrangements and even duets of some of your favorite songs, purchased either as sheet music for an individual song or as a downloadable Christmas book with numerous songs to play through.

Christmas seems to have some of the best music – and it is music that reaches all generations!  Have fun finding your favorite pieces and I’m sure there are some grandparents out there that are just counting down the days until they hear you play!
